Ida married James Walter Montgomery September 4, 1912 in Canyonville, Oregon.
As with my father I never knew my grandparents either. I don't have memories to recall, only stories I have heard from her daughter ( my Aunt Hildreth ). I have heard tales of her and my great grandmother Phoebe Thrush Boyle and not all are pleasant. Even though many of the stories were not flattering I would assume that Ida had many good qualities about her as she was loved by her husband Walter.
I have a few pictures of my grandparents that my cousin Jerry's wife Harriett sent me. There is no one left to tell me about her and share photos and pleasant stories, how sad!!! I spoke with her once on the phone , after many years of me writing to my father, she called me in the summer of 1968 and wanted to get to know me, she died soon afterwards without ever talking again or meeting as she wanted. I feel sorrow over that.
