I'm Ben Walley, Jr., and my grandfather was Sidney Albert Johnson Walley, who was the younger brother of Joseph E. Johnston Walley. In one set of my Walley Family papers compiled by my uncle Wirt Hamilton Walley during July and August, 1964, I also have the lsiting of James Wilson Walley, oldest son of Joseph E. Johnston Walley and Nancy E. Meadows. However, the 'review and corrections' of Wirt's original recordings - probably during the late summer or early fall of 1964 - show the change from James Wilson Walley to Joseph Wilson Walley with the same birth and death dates. I am in contact with the younger generations of the Joseph Wilson Walley Family, and they insist that their ancestor was "Joseph Wilson", not "James Wilson". I am completely convinced that Wirt in 1964 and you recently accurately recorded the names and dates on the grave marker at Mt. Zion. This may be an engravers mistake.
