Kenneth H. "Mannie" Osborne, 73, passed away Friday, Sept. 4, 2009 in Perryton, Texas.

The son of Sam and Effie Osborne, he was born on Nov. 12, 1935 in Temple, Okla. Kenneth was united in marriage with Kaye McMillion on Aug. 23, 1963 in Clayton, N.M.

He worked as a heavy equipment operator, he was a Hemphill County Commissioner for Precinct 1 from 1982-1992, he owned and operated a dirt contracting business in Guymon and Canadian. In 1990 he designed Osborne Field and Complex in Canadian and it was dedicated in his honor. He also worked for Texas Farm since 1996 and was the Construction Manager.

He is survived by his wife, Kaye, of Perryton, Texas; one son, Randy Osborne, of Perryton, Texas; one daughter, Traci Pool, of Edmond, Okla.; one brother, J.M. Osborne, of Guymon; two grandsons, Taos Pool and Talon Osborne; two granddaughters, Teale Pool and Terra Osborne, and one great grandson, Baylor Pool.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Sam and Effie Osborne, two brothers, Doc and Pete Osborne and one sister, Lois Lewallen.

Funeral services will take place Tuesday, Sept. 8 at 1 p.m. at Boxwell Brothers Chapel in Perryton, Texas. Daryle Perry will be officiating the service.
