Loving mother, grandmother, and sister, Buyrle Mortensen, 82, died June 8, 1990 in Salt Lake City.

Born April 19, 1908 in LaGrand, Oregon to David and Della Serine Hibbert.

Married John S. Mortensen on November 25, 1938 in Parowan, Utah. He preceded her in death.

Taught school in all grades for forty-plus years, mostly in the Granite School District. Graduate of BYU and started teaching in Parowan, later relocating to Salt Lake City in 1941, retiring at the age of sixty-five.

Survived by daughter, Annette Lagerstrom, Washington, DC; son, Frank H. Adams, and daughter, Jacki Stanger, both Salt Lake City; nine grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Charlie Hibbert.

Graveside Services will be held on Tuesday, June 12, 1990 at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain View Memorial Estates Cemetery, 3115 East Bengal Boulevard (7800 South). Friends may call at MacKay Cottonwood Mortuary on Monday evening from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
