Athens, GA - Mae Roberts Evans, 100, died January 7, 2004.
A longtime resident of Athens, she was a daughter of the late Myles and Bessie Harris Roberts, and the widow of Holman C. Evans. She was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services will be Saturday, January 11, 2004, at 11:00 AM at the chapel of Lord and Stephens, EAST. Interment will be in Athens Memory Gardens.
Survivors include a daughter, Geneva E. Brock of Athens; two sons, James Harold Evans of Albuquerque, NM, and Alec S. Evans of Hardwick, GA; sister, Mildred Roberts McKinzey of Loganville, GA; twelve grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; twenty great-great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Charles Harper, Kenneth Harper, Eric Evans, Duane Evans, Jason Harper, and Chris Roberts.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
Lord and Stephens, EAST is in charge of arrangements.
