SEIBEL, CHRISTINA (QUENZER)

Christina Seibel, 64, of Galt died June 23 at a hospital after an extended illness. She was born Christina Quenzer on March 9, 1928, in McLaughlin, S.D.

Mrs. Seibel moved to Lodi from South Dakota in 1947 and relocated to Galt in 1987. She was a supervisor for Pacific Telephone for 25 years and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Her pastimes were gardening, family outings at Lake Tahoe and collecting clocks.

Mrs. Seibel was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Seibel, in 1984; a brother, Albert Quenzer and a sister, Lillian Schuber.

She is survived by a son, Bradley Seibel of Galt; a daughter, Cathleen Melhaff of Galt; a brother, John Quenzer of Lodi and three sisters, Barbara Maurer of Lodi, Mary Hepperle of Santa Clara and Bertha Derego of Mountain View.

The funeral is 1 p.m. Friday at Lodi Funeral Home. Committal will be at Cherokee Memorial Park. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today. 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
