THE PARIS NEWS, 5 Jan 1969. 'Mrs. Martha Ellen Maroney, 87, of the East Post Oak Community, died Saturday at 5:50 a.m. at St. Joseph's Hospital. Arrangements with Leverett and Steele Funeral Home are set for 2 p.m. today at the funeral home chapel with interment in the East Post Oak Cemetery. The Rev. Johnnie Stanley will officiate. A housewife, Mrs. Maroney had lived most of her life in the East Post Oak community. A daughter of the late Wash and Nancy (Warren) Anderson, Mrs. Maroney was born in Rocky Comfort, Mo., 16 Sep 1882. She was married to Clarence Lee, and later married Dalton Maroney who died in 1949. Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Olen Lee, Post Oak; a step-daughter, Mrs. Sam Maroney, Brownfield; six step grandchildren and one grandson, Floyd Lee of Blossom.'
