Clayton William (sic) Dies --
William Clayton Williams, son of Henry and Millie Williams was born in Stoddard County, Mo on Aug 13, 1875. Departed this life Nov 25, 1945, at the age of 70 years, 3 months and 12 days.
He was united in marriage to Miss Millie Hand Dec 20, 1877. To this union 10 children were born, 6 sons and 4 daughters.
His wife and 3 children preceded him in death.
He was united in marriage Sept 29, 1942 to Louvetta Hardwick.
Surviving are his wife of the home, 4 sons, Everett, William and Marvin of Couch, Mo, Waife of Grady, New Mexico. Three daughters, Elva Waller, Thelma Simpson, Artha Whitten, all of Alton, Mo. Also 2 brothers, Huston Williams of Mountain View, Mo, and Sam Williams of Alton, Mo, 15 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
All were present for the funeral except Waife, who lies in New Mexico.
Funeral services were conducted Tues afternoon of this week at 1:00 pm at Cotton Creek Cemetery by Rev. Leamon Wiggs. Interment was made in the Cotton Creek Cemetery under the direction of the Carr Funeral Home.
