"Mabel E. Gloor Homemaker, 87
Mabel E. Gloor of Jeffersonville, a homemaker and a lifelong area resident, died
Wednesday, October 19, 2005, at the Achieve Nursing and Rehab Center in Liberty.
She was 87 years of age.
The daughter of the late Edward C. and Nellie A. Metzger Bauernfeind, she was
born February 15, 1918, in North Branch. She was the widow of Raymond R. Gloor
who died in 1951.
Mrs. Gloor was a member of the Jeffersonville Presbyterian Church and the
Women's Association of the church. She was also a member of the Jeffersonville
Senior Citizens and the Church on the Rock.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Raymond E. and Elizabeth Gloor
of Sacramento, Calif., and William and Catherine Gloor of Ferndale; three
daughters and two sons-in-law, Eileen and Warren Brey of Kenoza Lake, Nancy and
George Grant of Newport News, Va., and Denise Fields of Las Cruces, N. Mex.; a
sister, Lizzie Cox of Liberty; nine grandchildren, Adrienne Hartgernik and her
husband, Brad, of Chevy Chase, Md., Dianna Screen and her husband, John, of
Crofton, Md., Jordan Grant and his wife, Ilham, of Jacksonville, N.C., Stephanie
Tyler and her husband, Mark, of Glen Allen, Va., Jill Lewis and her husband,
Mark, of Richmond, Va., Melissa Semones and her husband, David, of Alpharetta,
Ga., Michelle Gloor of Ferndale, Debra Malden and her husband, Renee, of Ramona,
Calif., and Pamela Gloor of Ramona, Calif.; seven great-grandchilden, Skylar
Hartgernik, Brett Hartgernik, Megan Screen, Jake Screen, Sophia Grant, Meredith
Lewis, and Shane Gloor; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a
sister, Grace Wagner, and a brother, Jacob Christopher Bauernfeind.
Friends may call at the Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home in Jeffersonville on
Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with
Pastor Richard Hewitt officiating. Burial will be made in Evergreen Cemetery in
Bethel.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties,
