Deceased Name: Gilbert Sabourin
Gilbert Sabourin, 74, of Louis Road in Middlefield, beloved husband of Lorraine (Paquette) Sabourin, died Tuesday, Oct. 11 at Middlesex Hospital.
He was born in Central Falls, RI, the son of Mabel (Bisson) Sabourin of Rockfall, and the late Roland Sabourin.
He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving with the U.S. Air Force. Prior to his retirement, he was employed with the U.S. Postal Service as postmaster in Rockfall and later was employed with Liberty Bank.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his children, Laurie Sabourin of Portland, Linda Carlson and her husband David of Manchester and Ronald and Robert Sabourin, both of Portland; three brothers, Marcel Sabourin of Rockfall, Roger Sabourin of Middlefield and Roland Sabourin of Coventry; his grandson Silas Carlson; and several nieces and nephews.
