She was born May 6, 1932, in Jefferson City, a daughter of the late Henry W. and Agnes (Zehendner) Feind. She graduated from St. Peter’s High School in Jefferson City. On October 28, 1972, Frances was united in marriage in Jefferson City, to Richard S. Buckingham, who preceded her in death on January 2, 1994.
Frances worked for Missouri Power & Light from 1950 – 1984, and with Kilowatt Credit Union from 1984 – 1989. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, and the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed traveling, bird watching, and attending her great-nieces and nephews activities.
Frances is survived by two sisters: Catherine C. Haake; Barbara A. Quick; and one brother: William J. Feind.
She was also preceded in death by her parents: Henry and Agnes Feind; one brother: Paul Feind; and one sister: Henrietta Feind.
Friends will be received from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2016, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a Prayer Service to be held at 5:00 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, with Fr. Patrick Shortt officiating.
Interment will follow in the Elmwood Cemetery in Flora, Illinois.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Feind Scholarship Fund in care of Helias High School, or to Central Missouri Honor Flight.
