Naomi F. Yager, 85, died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Park Lane Nursing Home in Scott City.

She was born Jan. 7, 1925, in Scott County, to Charles Emmet and Delia Deng Harkness.

A lifetime resident of Scott City, Mrs. Yager was a homemaker. She was a member of First Christian Church, 4-H, Colorado Christian Home, Lakeview EHU and Christian Women's Fellowship, was an area representative for Church World Service, and was involved in the church as head of the church bazaar and as the funeral meal coordinator.

On June 19, 1943, she married Leslie L. Yager in Scott City. He died Feb. 22, 2007, in Garden City. She also was preceded in death by her parents, 13 siblings and one half siblings.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas L. Yager Sr. of Dighton, and Dr. James L. Yager of Fresno, Calif.; five grandsons; three granddaughters; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral was at First Christian Church, Scott City. Burial was at Scott County Cemetery, Scott City.
