Charles Grady Cobb, 78, died Sunday, May 16, 2010, in his hometown of El Dorado, Ark. An alumni of El Dorado High School, he graduated from Louisiana Tech University and served in the U.S. Air Force, before working as an accounting manager for 35 years at Murphy Oil Corporation. He served over 20 years on the El Dorado School Board, among other community activities.

Survivors include his wife, Carol; daughters, Julie (Rob) Keys of Fayetteville, Ark., Susan (Mark) Mitchell of Longview Texas, Shelly Cobb of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Karen (Dale) Bright of Sherwood, Ark.; five grandchildren; sister, Mary Jane (Clyde) Sasser of Decatur and her family.

Following a private graveside burial at Arlington Cemetery, a celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at First United Methodist Church. A reception will follow in Fellowship Hall.
