His funeral is at 11 a.m. on Thursday at the Calvary Church in Rudyard, followed by a reception. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Hillside Cemetery in Conrad.

Leonard was born Feb. 14, 1928 in Pondera County, to John and Maggie Kaspersma. He grew up with three siblings on a homestead near Conrad. Leonard farmed with his brother, Howard, until his retirement in 1979.
In 1996 he met his special friend and companion, Debra Curtin, and they eventually married in 2004. After moving to Rudyard, they enjoyed fellowship at the Calvary Church.
After Debra died in 2009, Leonard remained in their Rudyard home and became active at the Senior Center. He had no immediate survivors other than Debra's extended family.
