Helen was born in married in Sweden. She married Peter Anderson in about 1865 and had two children John B. b. about 1866 and Enoch b. Feb. 1868. In 1868 she, her husband, and children emigrated to the US and settled in IA. They first settle with another Swedish family in the Des Moines area and later moved to MT. Pleasant where they remained until their deaths.

Helen and Peter had the following children after settling in IA. Hattie born Apr. 1878, Clara B. b. Feb. 1880, Otto b. Sept. 14, 1882, Annie M. b. Sept. 1884, Mayme (Minnie) b. Apr. 1887, and Walter C. b. Dec. 9 or 17, 1889.

Hattie, Enoch, Otto, and Walter appear on FAG. Mayme married Ora Austin Miller on Mar. 8, 1911 in MT. Pleasant, IA and Annie M. married Tyl Clarence Van b. 1894 in Ill. Ora was born on July 12,1885 and had a sister Prudence who was raised in a separate household. Prudence was raised by her aunt Mary Cook Allen and eventually moved to Idaho with her aunt and passed away there on July 20, 1923. Her FAG #19783575.

Not too long before his death Peter Anderson was living with his daughter Anne when the census was taken.
