Lillie Pearl Still, age 96, of St. Joe, Arkansas passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010. She was born in Searcy County on December 25, 1913.
Mrs. Still was a member of the Pilot Mt. Primitive Baptist Church. She will be remembered for her generosity and hospitality. Her wonderful home cooking ensured all visitors went away satisfied. Mrs. Still loved working in her flower garden and quilting but the time spent visiting with friends and family was among her most cherished moments.
Lillie Pearl Still was preceded in death by her parents, William Marion Keeling and Mary Ann Davis Keeling, her husband of 69 years, Andrew Still, one son, Jimmy Baker, five sisters, Walsie, May, Alma, Bonnie and Flonnie, and three brothers, George, Bill and Williard.
Survivors include three sons: Louis Still of St. Joe, AR and wife Connye of Tulsa, OK, James Still and wife Sharon of Tulsa, OK and Manuel Still of Sapulpa, OK. One daughter: Linda Ditterline and husband Bill of Sapulpa, OK. Eleven grandchildren: Beverly Still of NC, Sandra Mathis and husband Kenny of TX, Tracy Still and wife Marrianne of TX, Allen Still and wife Michelle of TX, Tony Chadwick and wife Patricia of OK, Kevin Still of OK, Steven Still and wife Kristy of OK, Sean Still and wife Mandy of MO, Rick Baker and wife Connie of AR, Danny Baker and wife Amanda of AR and Barbara Varone and husband Phillip of PA. Nineteen great-grandchildren: Jonathan Warford of OK, Shawanna Cobb of OK, Daniel Price of ND, Megan Price of NC, Aron Mathis of TX, Courtney Mathis of TX, Zachary Still of TX, Alex Still of TX, Dustin Chadwick of OK, Chelesea Chadwick of OK, Shawnee Still of MO, Dakota Still of OK, Stetson Still of MO, Rocky Baker of AR, Kyle Baker of AR, Nikki Varone of PA, Michael Varone of PA, Vincent Varone of PA and P.J. Varone of PA. Three great-great- grandchildren: John Jr. Warford of OK, Emily Cobb of OK and Joseph Cobb of OK.
Visitation for Lillie Pearl Still will be Monday, May 17, 2010 from 6-8 PM at Roller Coffman Chapel. Her service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, May 18, 2010 at Pilot Mt. Primitive Baptist Church at Osborne Cemetery near St. Joe with Elder Danny Adcock officiating. Burial will follow in the Osborne Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Danny Baker, Rick Baker, Kevin Still, Steven Still, Tracy Still, Allen Still, Sean Still and Jonathan Warford. Honorary pallbearer is Tony Chadwick.
