Rites Set For Ezra H. Myers At Edgewood

EDGEWOOD - Ezra H. Myers, 96 of Edgewood, died at 10:01 pm Monday in the Douglas Manor Nursing Home, Tuscola. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. Thursday in the Pagel Funeral Home in Edgewood, with visitation from 5 to 9 p.m. today. Burial will be in the Edgewood Cemetery.

Mr. Myers was born Feb 1, 1883 in Gila, the son of William and Rosetta Payne Myers. He was retired from the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Edgewood and Modern Woodmen of America.

He married Cora Frazier Jan 13, 1904 in Jewett. She died in 1967.

Surviving are: sons, Rolla of Edgewood and Donald of Garrett; daughters, Mrs. Delphus (Hazel) Rush of Dieterich and Mrs Floyd (Ina) Mascher of Effingham; brothers, Raymond and Arnie, both of Corona, Calif; sister, Mrs. Clem (Gladys) Westjohn of Obetz, Ohio; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Two sons and one daughter preceded him in death.
