Benjamin Wardlaw Brinson, age 66, died of a heart attack Tuesday morning. Mr. Brinson, who was apparently in good health, was stricken at the wheel of his car on the road to Madison from his country home. He was dead upon arrival at the hospital. Mr. Brinson was connected with the State Department of Agriculture as an inspector.
He was the son of the late J. B. Brinson and Shellie Smith Brinson, a prominent pioneer family of Madison and spent his entire life here. He was married in early manhood to Miss Florida Randell, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Randell. His wife survives him.
Other survivors include one son, B. W. Brinson, Jr., of Pahokee; one daughter, Mrs. Maylon B. Clinkscales, of Gainesville, GA; one granddaughter, Miss Beverly Brinson, of Pahokee; and two brothers, Dr. J. B. Brinson, of Monticello, and James L. Brinson, of Madison. Funeral services were held Wednesday at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
