His brother, Levi was taken prisoner by the Confiderate Army in the same battle Wesley was killed in. ( Battle of Marks Mills in Arkansas ] Levi was POW at Ft. Tyler, Texas for 11 months, until the end of the Civil War. Family history says that Wesley died in Levi's arms.
