UTICA - Mrs. Dorothy Richardson Weaver, wife of Robert Clayton Weaver Sr., 408 Herkimer Rd., died yesterday in St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center after a long illness.
Mrs. Weaver was the daughter of the late A. Harding and Lilly Davis Richardson of Ilion. She was born Dec. 27, 1895, in New Hartford.
Mrs. Weaver was graduated from Ilion High School and from the State Teachers College at Oneonta. She held teaching positions in Schenectady
and Oneonta before becoming a member of the faculty of Brandegee School, Utica.
She was married to Mr. Weaver on June 21, 1923, in St. Augustine's Episcopal Church, Ilion.
Mrs. Weaver was a communicant of Grace Episcopal Church, a member of its Altar Society, St. Anne's Guild, and Women of Grace Church. She also was a former trustee of Deerfield Baptist Church. She was a member of the Board of Almoners and the Board of Managers of the former St. Luke's Home and Hospital. For many years, she served as a member of the Board of Trustees of St. Luke's Memorial Hospital Center.
She leaves her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Lloyd B. Duprau, Utica; a son, Robert C. Weaver, Jr., New Hartford; five grandsons and several cousins.
Burial will be in the Weaver plot, Forest Hill Cemetery. Utica Daily Press, Friday, April 13, 1960
