Alene A. Colson, age 79, passed away at her residence in Trenton on Thursday, May 13, 2010. Alene was born on January 19, 1931 in Trenton to James Shelton Asbell & Ila Louise Watson Asbell. She has resided in Trenton for the past 34 years after moving back from Tampa, Fl. She was a secretary for the State of Florida in the Workman's Compensation Division.
Alene was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James & Ila Asbell, her husband, Buck Colson & 4 brothers: L.M. Asbell, Enoch N. Asbell, Robert E. Asbell & James Duke Asbell.
She is survived by 4 sisters: Rosella Bublitz of Trenton, Fl., Jetty Blake of Chiefland, Fl., Mary Ann Griner of Chiefland, Fl., and Carolyn (Griffin) Morgan of Trenton, Fl. She is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 17, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Dr. Greg Douglas, Pastor officiating. Interment to follow at Asbell Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.
