OBIT: INDIAN SCHOOL TEACHER DIES
Mrs. Nora M. Roper 60 a teacher in the Indian service, died Wednesday morning at Wesley Hospital. A native of Arkansas, Mrs. Roper had taught school in Craig County prior to 1929. Since that time she has taught two years at Whittier Orphans Home, Pryor; in the Indian Schools at Ardmore, Wyoming and Arizona.She was teaching school in Arizona when she became ill December 27. She was a member of the Eastern Star Chapter of Vinita. She was also a member of the Christian Church. Mrs. Roper is survived by two sons, Earl Holt, Fielding Utah; Everett Holt, Salem Oregon; four brothers: W.H. Roper, Nogales, Arizona; Frank H. Roper, Miami, OK; Fred L Roper, OKC; Clay M Roper, OKC; sister Grace Roper Craig; neice Charlotte Davis Kansas City, MO.
