VALENTINO ROMERO
Age 86, of Santa Fe, died Thursday, January 11, 2001 at his Santa Fe home following a lengthy llness.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Teodoro and Luisa Montoya Romero, two brothers: Andres and Margarito Romero, and two sisters: Magdalena Velarde and Lydia Romero.
He was born in Santa Fe on February 14,1914, the son of Teodoro and Luisa Romero.
He and Sophie Garcia were married at St. Francis Cathedral on November 11,1936.
He owned and operated Santa Fe Sheet Metal for 25 years.
He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Sophie Garcia Romero; one son, David Romero; two daughters: Angle F. Anaya and husband Michael, and Stella Romero, his sister. Pita Ortega and husband Paul, all of Santa Fe.
Also surviving is his cousin who brought him communion, Grace Gallegos, and numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Interment at Rosario Cemetery.
