Allen Raymond Yeske, age 62, died Saturday, July 5, 2003 at his home in rural Turtle Lake. He was born October 15, 1940 in Turtle Lake, the son of Raymond and Ethel Yeske. He grew up in Turtle Lake and graduated from Turtle Lake High School.
On October 29, 1960 he was united in marriage to Carol F. Peterson, and to this union five children were born. They had a hobby farm near Turtle Lake and Allen worked as an independent logger. In 1982 they moved to Savant Lake, in Ontario, Canada where they operated a store until 1994. They returned to Turtle Lake in 1997 and Allen continued some logging work. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved hunting.
He was preceeded in death by his father Raymond, son Aaron, and brother Roger. Left to mourn are his wife Carol, Turtle Lake; children James (Misti) Yeske of Anchorage, AD, Tonja (Mark) Wick of Comstock, Ethan Yeske of Turtle Lake and Bridgette (David) Machimity of Turtle Lake; mother Ethel Yeske of Turtle Lake; brothers Davie and Kendall, both of Turtle Lake. He also leaves grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 10, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. at the Williamson Funeral Home in Amery, Wisconsin. Speakers were Troy Terry and Sandy Yeske. Casketbearers were Troy Terry, Gerry Jeska, Mark Wick, David Machimity, Ben Machimity and Wade Evenson. Interment was at the Elim Cemetery in Range. The Williamson Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
