Juanita M. Coxe, 93, Boise, died Thursday, March 11, 2004
at Life Care Center of Treasure Valley, her home for the past two years.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 14, 2004 at the Morris Hill Cemetery. Pastor Gene Arnold will officiate. Services are under direction of the Relyea Funeral Chapel.
Juanita was born in Yankten, Ore. on Jan. 17, 1911. She married Robert L. Coxe on Aug. 10, 1931. They lived and worked in St. Helens, Ore. for 10 years. In 1949, they moved to Enterprise, Oregon where Juanita opened "Coxe's Cafe." In 1957 the family moved to Boise and Juanita continued her cooking career, first at the 20-30 Truck Stop and then at the Idaho Veterans Home, where she was head cook until her retirement in 1973.
Juanita asked that her family and friends remember her for "loving them and being a good friend."
She is survived by her son Edward L. Coxe, seven grandchildren, and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert L. Coxe, daughter Beverly A. Rinker, two brothers, and one sister.
