Wilma Warner died April 29 at her home in Grass Valley. She was 87.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 21, at First Baptist Church, 1866 Ridge Road, Grass Valley. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery in Santa Cruz, beside her husband, Oliver.

She was born Feb. 16, 1923, to Joe and Caroline Weidman in Mills, Wyo. She was one of six children and grew up in Paradise.

She married Oliver Warner on July 16, 1939, in Paradise. She had four children before moving to Grass Valley in 1947.

Mrs. Warner called Grass Valley "home" for more than 46 years.

She was a member of First Baptist Church for more than 25 years. She enjoyed sewing and reading. Her two great loves in life were the Lord Jesus and family.

She was so loved by all who knew her and is greatly missed.

Mrs. Warner is survived by her children, Glenn (Bennijo) Warner of Doyle, and Jane (Jim) Dunn of North San Juan; sister, Dolores Crum of Magalia; brother, Harry (Ila) Weidman of Los Malinas; brother, Gene (Daphne) Stark of Susanville, Calif.; grandchildren, Glenna Kay, Ricky, Beverly, Caroline, Cindy, Chris, Rob, Sherri, Paul and Tracy; 23 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; daughter, Carrol Luthi; son-in-law Robert Luthi; son, Bobby Warner; brothers, Ralph and Joe; and great-granddaughters, Holly Ann Warner and Paige Luthi.

Arrangements are by Hooper and Weaver Mortuary.
