Burial was in New Union Cemetery under direction of Riser and Son Funeral Home of Columbia.
He died Saturday at his residence after a brief illness.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Patton of Grayson; two daughters, Mary Katherine Patton of Grayson and Caroline Patton of Colorado; three sons, Terry Joe Patton, Ricky Patton and Allen Patton, all of Colorado; his mother, Mrs. Donna Patton of Joyce; five brothers, Samuel Patton of Columbia, Charlie Patton of Albion, Okla., Clarence Patton of Ruston, Jonie Patton and John B. Patton, both of Joyce; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Bells of Winnfield, and Mrs. Audrey Peavy of Monroe.
Visitation was at 1 p.m. Monday in New Union Baptist Church.
