Layla Khairi Hollier, 3-month-old daughter of Don Frye and Susan Hollier of Anchorage, died July 30 of heart disease at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. A visitation was held with a service following at Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary Chapel.
Layla was born April 18, 1992, at Providence Hospital. Her family said, "She was a very beautiful child who brought joy into a lot of people's lives. She left us all with wonderful memories." Layla is survived by her parents, Susan Hollier and Don Frye of Anchorage; her maternal grandparents, Mary Herbert and Larry Hollier of Louisiana; her aunt Charleen Weiss of Cold Bay; her godparents, Kim and Joe Eason of Anchorage; and close family friends Sherry Durricks of Philadelphia and Vanee Robinson.
