Layla Khairi Hollier, 3-month-old daughter of Don Frye and Susan Hollier of Anchorage, died July 30 of heart disease at Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. A visitation was held with a service following at Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary Chapel.
Layla was born April 18, 1992, at Providence Hospital. Her family said, "She was a very beautiful child who brought joy into a lot of people's lives. She left us all with wonderful memories." Layla is survived by her parents, Susan Hollier and Don Frye of Anchorage; her maternal grandparents, Mary Herbert and Larry Hollier of Louisiana; her aunt Charleen Weiss of Cold Bay; her godparents, Kim and Joe Eason of Anchorage; and close family friends Sherry Durricks of Philadelphia and Vanee Robinson. Memorial contributions may be sent to the Children's Hospital in Philadelphia, in memory of Layla Hollier, 34th and Civic Center Blvd., Philadelphia, Pa., 19104.
