U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Son of Eugene & Orpha Scott
Port Clinton - Richard Scott, 67, 215 E. Fifth St., Port Clinton, died Sunday in H.B. Magruder Hospital after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Bellevue. He had been employed as a carpenter for S.J. Bailey Co. Walton, N.Y., retiring in 1972. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Surviving are his wife, Bernice(Grotevent), whom he married in 1956; two sons, Robert H, Honolulu, Hawaii, and Lyle, Port Clinton; a daughter Mrs Stephen(Susan) Marr, Cleveland; one granddaughter; three brothers, Raymond, Bellevue, Harrison, Greenwich and Clarence, Sandusky; and one sister Mrs Violet Billett, Sandusky. Preceding him in death were his parents Eugene and Orpha(Knisely) Scott; and two brothers.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Gerner and Wolf Funeral Home 216 Washington St. Port Clinton.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2480 officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Port Clinton, Ohio
