Jewell Gentry, 71, of Tellico Plains, died Monday, May 10, 2010, at Woods Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of Shoal Creek Baptist Church, and was preceded in death by one son, Jack Rodgers; her parents, Oscar and Laura Leanne Key; and the father of her children, Ralph Rodgers.

Survivors include her husband, James Gentry; three daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Ray Ables of Gallatin, and Linda and Trevor Meachen and Angie and James Lynn, all of Englewood; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Vicki Rodgers and Jerry and Janet Gentry, all of Sweetwater, and Eddie and Faye Gentry of Englewood; 18 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Winfred Key and Melvin Key; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 8 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Biereley-Hale Funeral Home with the Rev. Frank Kincannon and the Rev. Steve Strickland officiating. Burial will be 11 a.m. Thursday in McMinn Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Biereley-Hale Funeral Home of Madisonville is in charge of arrangements.
