John Hoover DILLING was born on 2 Sep 1827. He died typhoid fever on 11 Jul 1894 at the age of 66. He was buried in Brumbaugh Cemetery, Fredericksbureg, PA. "John Hoover Dilling was a successful businessman, owned several good farms in North Woodbury Township, Blair County, and his conservative advice was often sought in the councils of the congregation, as well as by his friends and neighbors. He was elected deacon in the German Baptist Brethren Church on September 20, 1879, in which he and his family held membership, and he served as chairman of the building committee having in charge the erection of the church in Clover Creek, in North Woodbury Twp."
