Mrs. Emily Phillips Taylor Cole – March 27, 1859 – March 26, 1941
Mrs. Emily Cole, widow of Jack Cole, died at the home of her son, Pearl Cole, near Sharon, Wednesday afternoon at the age of 81 years. She was a member of Travis Chapel Methodist Church and represented one of the Weakley County's oldest families. Her husband was a confederate soldier. She leaves three sons, Pearl, Tom and Jim, all of Sharon, two daughters, Mrs. W.R. Jackson of Martin, and Mrs. Will Baker of Lansing, Mich., 17 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at Corinth Church by her pastor, Rev. J.T. Banks this morning at 11:00 o'clock. Burial in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were Bill Butts, John Adams, Alf Prince, Bill Wash, Vervice Copeland and Oscar Rogers. W.W. Jones and Sons in charge of arrangements.
