Mrs. Aileen Lackey Butler, 89, of Martin, died Sunday, May 9, 2010, at Golden Living Center, Union City.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Murphy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Terry Griffin officiating. Burial will be in East Side Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 tonight at the funeral home.
Grandson and deacons of Bible Union Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be Lindbergh Crittendon, Charles McWherter, Charles Ogg and Jack Ogg.
Mrs. Butler was born May 31, 1920, in Weakley County, daughter of the late Major Haze and Ima High Lackey. She was the widow of Harold E. Butler. She was a homemaker and member of Bible Union Baptist Church.
Survivors include four sons, Tommy Butler of Townsville, S.C., Mike Butler of Memphis, Glen Butler and Joe Butler, both of Martin; one daughter, Marie McClure of Martin; 10 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Alvie Lackey, Hassell Lackey and William Thomas "Jack" Lackey; two sisters, Montie Blake and Blondell Gardner.
