Charles D. Koch is one of Bucknell's prominent alumni, who stands high in the ranks of the teaching profession. He fitted himself for his chosen profession by taking the Latin-Philosophical course at Bucknell, graduating in 1898. For two years following his graduation he served as Principal of the Curwensville, PA. High School, after which he taught for one year in the more desirable position as Principal of the Market Street Grammar School at Williamsport, PA.. For eight summers, 1896-1903, Professor Koch was a member of the Faculty of the Lycoming County Normal School, having charge of the Department of Science. In 1901 Mr. Koch decided to further his education and took a four years' course in Columbia University. he then accepted the Superintendency of the Philipsburg, PA. Public Schools, in which capacity he is now very ably serving.
