He joined the Army and was honorably discharged. He worked for Jensen Brothers Tires, Gibbons and Reed, and Granite Construction. He loved working on his cars and around the house. At Christmas time he made sure that the lights on the house could be seen for miles around. He loved his grandchildren and had found a special joy in his newest grandson.
He's preceded in death by his mom, Lucille Clarke, father, Richard Ballard, and step-son David Gailey. He's survived by his wife Ronda Ballard, brothers Clark (Kay) Crockett, Richard (Gloria) Ballard, sisters Sharon (Tom) Cummingham, and MaryAnn (Terry) Riplinger, daughters, Jenell Decker, Brandy Ballard, and Maree Gailey and son William (Elizabeth) Gailey, five grandsons, two granddaughters, and his special pet and friend Spiffie.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main Street, where a visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to the services.
Interment-Bountiful Memorial Park.
