Age 96, died Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Chelsea Retirement Community. She was born July 24, 1913 in Avilla, Indiana, the daughter of Fred Berkes and Mary Rauh Berkes. Mrs. Kinney lived in Harrisville and Eastpointe, MI before moving to Chelsea in 1998. On June 19, 1937, she married David C. Kinney, in Pontiac, who preceded her in death in July 1985. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia (Ronald) Kraska of Dexter; her son, Richard (Lorraine) Kinney of China Township; one sister, Josephine Sabrosky; four grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her four brothers. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 15, 2 p.m. At Chelsea Retirement Community Chapel, with Rev. Cathy Rafferty officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Chelsea Retirement Community or Arbor Hospice. Arrangements by Cole Funeral Chapel, Chelsea.
