Gertrude "Marie" Williams, 81, of Columbia died Sunday, June 8, 2003, at Boone Hospital Center.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 12, 2003, at Memorial Funeral Home, 1217 Business Loop 70 W., with the Rev. Dale Shotts officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 11 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Williams was born Sept. 5, 1921, in New Franklin to William D. and Maggie Elizabeth Kannatzar Pugh.
She married Lester Eugene Williams on Sept. 16, 1939, in Columbia, and he preceded her in death.
She attended Dripping Springs Church in her youth.
She was a member of the Senior Center.
Ronnie Kanatzar and I met with her somewhere between 1997-1999. She was ever so helpful and a lovely lady. Very sweet. She invited us back and we never got too.
