Dr. Philip B. COOK died Aug. 18 at his home in LeRaysville, after an illness of some weeks of paralysis, in his 76th year. He was born Jan.17, 1832, at Potterville, graduated from Princeton University in 1858 and from the Theological Seminary in 1860. After preaching four years, he entered the Miami Medical School, and upon his graduation practiced at Kingston for ten years. In the meantime, he served sometime in the Civil War. Since 1885 he had practiced his profession at LeRaysville, and was one of the best known and most successful practitioners in the county. Dr. Cook was a man of high character, and greatly beloved by a wide circle of friends. Besides his second wife, one son and three daughters survive him. Funeral services today, with interment at Orwell. (Darling Cemetery)
