Ermon R. Cornwell, 86, of Trout, died at 8:40 p.m, Friday, October 30, 1998, at the LaSalle General Hospital of Jena.

He was a retired gauger in the oil field industry and a member of Justiss Memorial Methodist Church in Trout. He was born Oct. 9, 1912 at Olla to the union of James Walker and Florence Hamilton Cornwell.

Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 1, at the chapel of Kinner and Stevens Funeral Home in Jena with Rev. John Johns officiating.

Interment followed in the Nolley Memorial Cemetery of Jena under direction of Kinner and Stevens, Inc. of Jena.

Survivors include three daughters, Barbara Germany of Jena, Sue E. Harmon and Dr. Janis R. Cornwell-Andrieu, both of Arlington, Texas; three sisters, Mary Casselman of Redding, Calif., Jimmie Ruth Addison of Springhill and Mildred Arrants of Jena; two brothers, Quincy Cornwell of Urania and C. R. Cornwell of Olla; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Paul Cornwell, Roger Dobbs, Cary James McCartney, Cilton Tingle, Darrel Wilson and D. R. Wilson.
