Wesley Stephen (Steve) Sharrock was born August 16, 1924 in Stonington, Colorado to Albert Steve and Iola (Rhodes) Sharrock. He was one of eight children. During his growing up years he helped his dad with Broomcorn Harvest.

Steve met Patsy Lee Williams and the two married June 3, 1951. To this union three children were born; Lynn, Melody, and Stuart. Steve and Patsy raised their family in Ulysses, Kansas where Steve worked as a Plumber and Electrician in his own business. After retiring Steve and Patsy came back to Baca County to reside in Springfield.

Steve was known for doing about anything and doing it well. He was a Husband, Father, Pastor, Friend, Worker. Steve passed away May 4, 2010 at Springfield Long Term Care Center; he was 85 years old. He is survived by his wife, Patsy of the home; and a son, Stuart (Clydene) Johnson of Salem, Missouri; two sisters; Josie Colbertson and Laveta Burgess.

Those preceding Steve in death include two daughters, Lynn and Melody; his parents, Albert and Iola; one brother and four sisters.

Steve's service was held at Springfield Cemetery in Springfield, Colorado with Pastor Paul Traver officiating and Sandi Bryan providing the music by singing Amazing Grace, Old Rugged Cross, and One Day at a Time.
