Mrs. Brown was born in Pulaski County, Georgia and had lived in Macon most of her life. She was a homemaker, a member of Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. She was the widow of Dempsey Short Brown, Sr. and the daughter of the late Raymond E. and Nannie Cohen Lee. Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her son, H. Lee Durden.
Mrs. Brown is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Dempsey and Sandra Brown of Macon; five grandsons, Brad Brown, Kevin Brown, Don Durden, Ray Durden and Doug Durden; six great-grandchildren; sister, Ida Moore of Hawkinsville.
