Betty Gaines Mullenix

Betty Gaines Mullenix, 86, of 2757 Hartwell Hwy. Dewy Rose, GA widow of the late Charles S. Mullenix died Saturday May 8, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospice House in Athens, GA.
Born in Elbert County, she was a daughter of the late Hoyt William Gaines and Alma Brown Gaines. She was a member of Concord United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker.

Survivors include daughters Joan M. Millines, and Deborah M. Holle, a son Wayne Mullenix, sister Sarah Wansley, half-sisters Martha Ann Yarborough, Velvet Appleby, and Wendy Holloway, brother Clyde Gaines Jr., half-brothers Frank Gaines and Gary Gaines, five grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister Lavonia Todd.

Funeral services will be held Monday May 10, at 11AM at the Memorial Chapel of Berry Funeral Home with Rev. Ann Reynolds officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery in Bowman, GA. The family will be at the home of Wayne and Mildred Mullenix 2825 Hartwell Hwy. and will receive friends from 10-11AM just prior to the service at Berry Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested please make memorials in her honor to St. Marys Hospice House P.O. Box 6588 Athens, GA 30604.
