Mr. Biggs was born on September 1, 1925 in Burnett County the son of Loyd Ollie Biggs and Vida Lewis Biggs. He graduated from Burnett High School and served in the United States Navy during WWII. On June 2, 1947, he married Gertrude Callender in Ozona, Texas. He worked as Pumper for Shell Oil Company for over 40 years. Jack lived and worked in Aspermont for 30 years, moving to Abilene after his retirement. He was a member of Broadview Baptist Church. Jack enjoyed fishing, traveling, playing cards and "42" with his family, and he enjoyed feeding and watching the birds.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Trudy of Abilene; his children, Marilyn Moore of Abilene, David Biggs of Abilene and Kelly Biggs of Houston; grandchildren, Jennifer Forrest and husband Jeff, Melissa Marquez and husband Marcus, Holly Biggs, Sarah Biggs, Ben Biggs and wife Hannah, and Neil Biggs; great grandchildren, Max Marquez and Jaden Forrest.
His parents and one sister, Louise Odom preceded him in death.
