George Washington Cravey was the son of Owen Benjamen Cravey (1818-1863) and Margaret Elizabeth Knapp Cravey Reichert (1840-1882), his parents burial locations are unknown. George's father, Owen Cravey, died 4 months before George was born while serving in the Confederate States Army, 3rd Florida Infantry, Co. E, at the Battle of Chickamauga on 20 Sep 1863.
His mother re-married Jacob F Reichert, on 11 Mar 1869 in Monticello, Jefferson Co. FL. Family history relates that she died by "lightning strike" on 22 Jun 1882 and was possibly buried in Reichert Family Cemetery in Jefferson Co.
George was the husband of Annie Rudolph Barco, married 28 Jan 1885 in Crawfordville, Wakulla Co. FL
