Irvin H. Smith, fifty-six of Elm died at his home at 1 p.m. Friday of the effects of a stroke. He was the son of the late Benjamin and Clara Wilhelm Smith, and was a member of the Brethren church.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Minnich Smith, and three sisters: Mrs. Christ Hoover, Manheim; Mrs. Cyrus Dohner, Manheim RD1, and Mrs. Simon Bachman, Campbelltown.
The funeral will be held from the home at 1:30 p.m. (standard time) Monday with services at 2 p.m. in Graybill's Brethren Church, at Elm. Interment will be in Longenecker's cemetery, near Manheim. [Lancaster Intelligencer Journal, Lancaster, PA, Saturday, May 4, 1935]
