L.E. Copeland was my maternal grandfather and Patricia
Copeland was my maternal grandmother. I am the son of J.B. "Chalky" Vest and
Claudia Jean Vest. The correct spelling is Snedden, natives of the Choctaw
Tribe from the Mississippi Delta regions. Patricia's great grandfather, Allen
Wright, named the state of Oklahoma: land of the red man. He was a Captain in
the Confederate Army, later a ordained minister. He also translated the King
James version of the Holy Bible to the native Choctaw language. Bro and Patty
took care of Muriel Wright until her death in 1975. She lived at their duplexes
off NW 14th in OKC.
