Obit: Mr. Randall E. Everett, age 66, of Suwanee, GA, passed away on Wednesday, May 16, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Carrie Wilkerson Everett, sister, Pauline Everett Deaton, and brothers, Jerry Everett, Leroy Everett, and Kelly Everett. He is survived by his Wife: Mrs. Evelyn Wilson Everett; Sister: Louellen Everett Clark; Brothers: George and Frances Everett, and Roger and Sandra Everett; Sister-in-law: Sarah Doster Everett; Several Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Mr. Everett was born December 28, 1940 in Barrow County, GA. He was retired from Coca Cola Plant in Lawrenceville, GA, after 28 years of service. He was a member of the Atlanta Country Music Hall of Honors. He was well-known guitar player and lead singer of bluegrass music. The Georgia bluegrass community has lost a great bluegrass presence. He helped to create The Everett's Music Barn in Suwanee, GA, which has been a staple for the bluegrass community in Georgia for over forty years. Randall was also a part of the bluegrass band "The Everett Brothers". A lot of great musicians have gotten their start with Randall Everett and "The Everett Brothers" band including Ray Deaton, Brian Stephens, Jeff Autry and many, many other great musicians who cut their teeth on bluegrass music at The Everett's Music Barn. The legacy of The Everett's Music Barn will continue on with packed crowds and great bluegrass music. He will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2007 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Hulon Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Peachtree Road Baptist Church Cemetery, Suwanee, GA.
