ALPHA LAWSON
Alpha N. Lawson, 77, of 911 W. Sixth, died Tuesday morning (Feb. 19, 1985) in Coffeyville Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Lawson was born Aug. 20, 1907, in Lexington, Mo., to Albert and Barbara Greer.
Mrs. Lawson moved to Coffeyville from Parsons in 1935, and on June 6, 1936, married Paul Lawson in Oswego. They moved to California in 1947, returning to Coffeyville in 1971.
Mrs. Lawson worked as a clerk for the J.C. Penney Co.
She is survived by her husband.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Graves Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
A memorial has been established in Mrs. Lawson's name with Coffeyville Community College.

1920 census shows Alpha living in Craig County, Oklahoma with Banzet family as a 13-year-old "boarder". Not sure if foster family or some other connection to family (sister Eva born in Craig County).
