Nathan Octavius Fullmer was born Monday, November 14, 1887 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Hannibal Octavious Fullmer and Rachel Elizabeth Brown.

After receiving his education in the public schools, he enlisted in the Utah National Guard, where he served for three years. He married Jeanette Lang Jones on November 9, 1910 in the Salt Lake Temple.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and a high priest in the Forest Dale Ward of the Granite Stake.

He began his business career as a salesman of men's clothing. He later became advertising manager and then business manager of the Deseret News.

While serving in this capacity, he was given the responsibility to establish, for the newspaper, the first radio broadcasting station in the Mountain West known as KZN, it later became KSL.

After retiring from the Deseret News, he served as a credit manager for a real estate firm and was field secretary for the Utah Associated Industries.

He was associated with the Arden Sunfreeze Creameries Division of Beatrice Foods Co. For many years he worked as purchasing agent for the company.

Nathan passed away on Thursday, April 5, 1973 at Latter-Day Saints Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah after a short illness. He resided at 2262 South 900 East in the Sugar house neighborhood of Salt Lake City, Utah at the time of his death.

Funeral Services were held on Monday, April 9, 1973 at 2:00 p.m. in the Larkin Mortuary Chapel located at 260 East South Temple Street in Salt Lake City. A viewing was held on Sunday, April 8, 1973 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and prior to the services on Monday.
Nathan was laid to rest following the conclusion of the Funeral Services at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park in East Millcreek.
