Son of Albert Claus and Matilda Joy (Lindholm) Frisk.

On Feb. 7, 1912 (per our family records) he married Margaret Catherine Steinert and to this union 6 children were born.

THANKS TO DAN FOWLER who was nice enough to send me Grand Uncle George's Obituary from the Idaho Press-Tribune, dated 26 October, 1973;

NAMPA - Funeral services for George Richard Frisk, 86, 516 Elder St., who died at his home Wednesday following a brief illness, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Nampa First Church of the Nazarene.

The Rev. Charles E. Higgins, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. The Alsip Funeral Chapel is in charge of services and interment.

Mr. Frisk was born Feb. 5, 1888, at Mountain Grove, Mo., and was reared there. He married Margaret Steinert Feb. 14, 1912. They moved to Kansas where they farmed for 32 years. In 1944 they moved to Nampa, where he has farmed and worked as a carpenter.

He was a member of the Nampa First Church of the Nazarene and the Men's Fellowship Class.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Catherine Frisk, Nampa; one son, Paul Frisk, Nampa; three daughters, Beulah Frisk, Nampa. Mrs. Evelyn Hodges, Bakersfield, Calif., and Mrs. Joyce Droden, Seattle, Wash.; two brothers, Henry Frisk, Oakdale, Calif. and Ralph Frisk, Reardon, Wash.; one sister, Mrs. Hattie Rusch, Tillamook, Ore.; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one son, Floyd, one daughter, Gladys Yates, and one grandson.


George is brother to my grandfather Alvin.
